ben2010: Keep practicing braking and especially right turns. It took me a while to not hit the curb when making that right turn. Enjoy

That is not a turn I have gotten to practice. Now a bolt has broken and my brother is going to sodder it. Hopefully will get to practice this next weekend.
Ladyj1949Brother working on the lean of the bike to the sidecar. Can see how that would be hard on the tires. Having trouble giving enough throttle to get the bike rolling. Need to practice in a large parking lot and not on the streets. Hope to be riding by Christmas.

Have trouble with the clutch in that my hand span doesn't reach out far enough to smoothly release the clutch. Open to suggestions.

Yep quick right turns can get real funky with an empty sidecar.

Maybe not a lot of cars out and can see how it goes without getting killed. Just joking.

Ladyj1949I have gotten a sidecar for my bike. One of my brothers is putting it on for me. I have read that with the sidecar you can ride in the snow. I have insulated leathers, so I should be all set. Now to learn how to shift and ride.

It probably can be ridden in the snow, just not sure if I would feel safe though. There is still only very little tire surface and in an emergency braking situation I think it would slide.
Ladyj1949I enrolled in an ABATE class back in June. I dropped a bike twice and wasn't going to be able to get both feet up and ride across the parking lot after that. I don't want to get rid of it so I have bought things for it. Just need a push to ge...

Check out your local bike shop. They should be able to point you to a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course. Or check at msf.org for a class near you. They even provide the bikes for beginner classes.
