I've ridden plenty of times without griping the APES, but usually just long enought to let the blood return to my hands. The success of riding in this mannor depends on several things.....cross wind sucks...depends on riding on two lane or three, Semi's blowing by can suck ya right off the scooter. Hit a object in the road, maybe a deer and you are up a shit creek. I do admire his reason, but a bit dangerous. How about riding 300 miles in the nude with a flag tied to His.....sissy bar, now that would be cool, or out right cold!
