in light of the recent deaths of 7 riders in New Hampshire- the NH7- disciplined Jarheads,Military Vets at that- killed by yet another reckless car driver plowing into the group head-on,
ENOUGH!!
We are Kick-STANDING UP ,
organizing a NATIONAL RIDE for August 17th at 1pm EST.
ALL GET OUT ON THE HIGHWAYS,INTERSTATES,ROADS AT THAT TIME !
We need EVERYBODY's help, assistance and participation in this event to begin a movement to change laws FOR bikers -

2 wheels, 3wheels,motorized or not
we don't count only the great people we've lost or those who are hospital bound, the miles ridden, the times spent in great company, the injuries, hospitalizations, fatalities due to careless,uncaring drivers, or how many accidents we have endured because of careless drivers, but
we ARE OVER 12 MILLION STRONG, not counting ALL scooters and bicyclers who get killed by careless drivers,as well... MAKE NO MISTAKE:
WE COUNT politically, as well.
Laws need to be CHANGED,MODIFIED to include harsher,stiffer penalties for reckless endangerment and AUTOMATIC 'At Fault' and 'Attempted Murder' charges for collisions ( exception DUI, reckless bikers)
In order to make this work, we need EVERYBODY to participate!

BIKES ARE A $ 90 BILLION INDUSTRY to this day !
The number of cyclists/bike riders in the U.S. has increased over the past three years from around 47.5 million to 49.5 million ...About 15 percent of Americans — or 45 million people — made at least one trip ON 2 WHEELS for transportation in the last year.
Nationally, a staggering over 105 Million of us ride bikes !
With around 12 MILLION registered motorcycles in the USA, almost 1 million of which in CA alone, with between 1 Million and 1/4 million new registrations each year...
The last available number of injuries caused by car drivers were over 90THOUSAND bikers maimed and injured/hospitalized and over 10Thousand FATALITIES caused by reckless CAR drivers per YEAR.

Clubs, Independents, MROs, EVERYone who moves on two or three wheels, come on, let's do this!
We all have multiple fellow riders we know personally who have been in such an accident and lost a leg/limb or his/her life.
Riding in traffic, WHETHER MOTORCYCLE, SCOOTER,MOPED OR BICYCLE, is a daily fight for survival on US streets, because of lax legislation, inept drivers and drivers who just 'don't care', who feel they'd rather hit a bike than arrive a minute late or hit a car, because the damage , in their 'minds' and to their cars is less severe.
LAWS NEED TO CHANGE DRASTICALLY AND NOW.
Something HAS to be DONE to force car drivers to discipline and to avoid hitting motorcycles instead of not caring or even choosing to run into a bike.
Harley Davidson and Indian being a lucrative export item, making billions in sales of bikes, parts, accessories and clothing worldwide, signifying the "American Dream" and America's "FREEDOM", it is HIGH TIME to PROTECT the people who RIDE and keep that dream ALIVE.
We CAN, we MUST organize a (Police escorted, if possible) RIDE ,on all Highways across the country North, South, East , West , SLOW and in 2x2 FORMATION (or staggered if preferred), invite ALL, for ALL bikers killed by 'cagers'( car drivers) - black shirts with 'handpainted" white crosses, for clubs black flags with handpainted white crosses,(or pre-order by Aug 5th) invite the local Media, TV, Radio and Print -- to bring awareness to this problem , to push towards a CHANGE in Legislature and to enforce Biker Safety, which means 'Safety for All".
Starting from ALL Harley Davidson Dealerships, ANY AND all MOTORCYCLE DEALERSHIPS, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC, VFWs, Foreign Legion,American Legion locations, Biker Meeting points of your area strategically every 30+ miles, notify your chapters, your organizations,your buddies,pals,brothers, sisters, your local MEDIA and Police - UPDATE your PART OF THE EVENT, YOUR STARTING LOCATION AND ROUTE - we'll figure it out, this CAN and WILL be EPIC, AWESOME!
WE WILL ADD YOUR ORGANIZATION, MRO, CLUB, GROUP, DEALERSHIP(start/stop/end location), Biker Bar, Hangout as CO-HOSTS on the event, IF YOU'D LIKE (PM me)
Getting the Public, Media and Politicians to NOTICE and talk about this is a big step forward in getting laws changed to SAVE LIVES.
This event is for ALL of us, it transcends lines and borders, petty differences and ego clashes -- so, please, be a PART of this event that has the potential of 'moving mountains', of changing laws in our favor to save lives of Bikers all over the Nation, because
