Just minutes outside of Las Vegas, we'll ride the open roads of Red Rock Canyon. Often referred to as the hidden jewel of the Mojave Desert, its beauty and quiet isolation make it the opposite of the casino glitz and action along the Strip. A world-class rock-climbing destination, Red Rock's cliffs can reach as high as 3,000 feet. In particular, Keystone Thrust Fault extends 13 miles along the crest of the Red Rock escarpment and creates one of the more picturesque views. Its brilliant contrast of gray limestone and red sandstone was produced when two of the earth's plates collided millions of years ago with such force that the older layers of rock pushed horizontally over the younger layers. While the views are majestic, when riding through towering, picture-perfect formations of red rocks we'll also keep a lookout for a plethora of desert wildlife, including wild mustang horses, the desert kit fox and big horn sheep.

After the ride, we'll celebrate EagleRider's 25th anniversary with a BBQ starting at 12 P.M.
