This is our fourth annual poker run to raise money and awareness for MALTA, which is a 501c non-profit organization started in 1999. MALTA reaches out to meet the needs of the homeless and hungry in South Eastern Connecticut. The Poker Run will start at Seaport Community Church, 28 Great Brook Road, Groton, CT. Registration is at 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Riders can leave in groups of eight to ten, there will be no police controlling traffic. It is approximately one hundred miles of the most scenic roads in Connecticut, with stops at some of the most popular biker spots. There will be three winning hands that will collect some great prizes. The run will be Saturday August 19th, with rain date of the 26th. Ending in Groton at Pleasant Valley church at 3:00 PM with a barbeque. More details will be posted as the plans are finalized. Put this on your calendar if you're looking for a fun ride and day. Cost is $25.00 per rider, it all goes back to the community.
