Fort Wayne Pit Bull Coalition (FWPBC) is hosting the first annual For Pitties Sake Poker Run fundraiser on June 17th, 2017. PWPBC is a 501c(3) rescue that focuses on improving the conditions for Pit Bull type dogs in Northern Indiana through education, public awareness and by providing resources for Pit Bulls in need. For Pitties Sake Poker Run is one of three major fundraiser for the year to help with all the costs associated with a foster based rescue. We provide families with everything to take care of our adoptable dogs --vet care, food, toys and crates. FWPBC also has an Owners Assistance program where the public can contact us if they are in need of veterinary care and are unable to afford it. We will pay for both routine shots and costly surgeries. Our goal is to try and do our best to help people keep their pets.

Early Bird registration is $20 per vehicle (bike or other motorized vehicle) before 5/20/2017. Early registration ensures participants receive an event t-shirt and gift pack. After, registration is $25.

This run will have a 5-card “hand”, meaning each participant will draw 5 total cards (one at each ‘stop’, including both out/in at AL 409). Standard poker hand rankings will be used, with a Royal Flush being the highest hand. Each stop will have one deck of cards for participants to draw from. If a participant draws a duplicate card, that card will be redrawn. The poker run winner will be the participant with the highest hand.

Each participant must have a score card, and this must be filled in by a FWPBC member/volunteer, not by the participant. It is the participants' responsibility to check their score sheet before leaving each stop, to ensure all points were correctly recorded on their score sheet.

In addition to the poker run game, participants have the chance to play games of skill for additional prizes. Stops 2, 3, and 4 will offer the opportunity for participants to purchase a play at a game of SKILL! Plays are $1 per try, play as many times as you want! Play more, earn more points! Highest number of points wins!

Each stop will be offering great food/drink specials, so please support the local businesses that have partnered with FWPBC –ALSO, please leave each stop as you found it –take your trash, be responsible!

There will be prizes awarded at the end of the run for best poker hand, as well as highest number of points at the skills games! We will also be offering FWPBC merchandise and a 50/50.

The run ends with a cook out and Big Dick and the Penetrators playing from 5p-8p.
