Join us (Erik and Amy Skogerson) on June 18, 2016, as we host a fantastic annual day of riding, relaxing and raising money for a variety of projects at the Des Moines Y Camp (located north of Boone) where it's all about the kids, the kids, the kids, the kids!! BBQ & raffle prize drawings following the ride!

The Cruisin' for Y Camp Route starts with registration from 10:00-10:30 a.m. in the Waukee YMCA parking lot. Admission price includes the ride, official ride t-shirt, handlebar bracelet & post-ride BBQ. Kickstands up at 11:00 a.m. for a gorgeous scenic tour north, heading first toward the mile long bridge over Saylorville Lake (during which part of the ride a helicopter photographs the bikes on the bridge) on our way up to Polk City. We then continue through Madrid before turning west to travel down the river valley with a view of the High Trestle Trail, ending up in Woodward. Next we traverse back toward the Des Moines River, turning north to get to the Old Lincoln Highway which takes us to Ogden. After that, we cruise just south of Don Williams Park heading southeast toward Boone, eventually ending up at Herman's Park in Boone where we reserved the Pavilion for a post-ride BBQ. We stop at several local establishments and cross the Des Moines River at least five times on this gorgeous riding route in Y Camp territory!
