The 2nd Annual “Riding with the Heroes,” will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Howard County Public Safety Training Center located at 2200 Scott Wheeler Drive, Marriottsville, Maryland. Last year’s Ride was an outstanding success with over 500 riders! In conjunction with the Howard County Police Department and the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, there will be police, fire & EMS displays along with vendors and more! Additionally, honoring our military, there will also be displays from the Maryland Army National Guard. On-site registration along with vendor areas will open at 8:00 a.m. Kicks stands up and wheels turning at 9:30 a.m. This will be a scenic 65 mile rural tour themed “Main Street Maryland” that includes traveling through the historic Main Streets of Sykesville, Westminster, Manchester and Hampstead. The ride will be ceremonially escorted by Howard County Police motors. Upon return to the Training Center, all participants will receive a great lunch provided by our Official Hospitality Hosts, Mission Barbeque. Our event is also being supported by the Blue Knights, Iron Shields (both law enforcement motorcycle clubs), the Red Knights (a fire/EMS motorcycle club) and the American Legion Riders (a veterans motorcycle club). We are also honored to have quite a few members of the Wounded Warrior Project participating with us!
