A Police Escorted Benefit Ride With Bands BreakFast And Silent Auction to Support Our 23 yr. old niece Alisha Cervantes has recently been diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called “Wegener’s Disease.” This disease affects 10-20 per 1,000,000.00 persons each year with life expectancy averaging 8 months to five years once diagnosed. Progression of the disease and successful treatment with what is known about “Wegener’s” is very costly. Alisha has to travel from Texas to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota to receive treatment from the known Wegener’s Disease specialists there. In addition to her travel expenses, she has medical expenses for necessary prescriptions, routine laboratory work and all dialysis treatments.
On her behalf, her aunt and I, Demetrio and Liza Flores are putting together a benefit ride called “Alisha’s Ride.” This ride is scheduled to take place on Saturday June 13th, 2015 here in Ft Wayne Indiana.
