Event Desc

  • I've wanted to ride Pacific Coast Hwy for as long as I've been riding and figured my birthday would be a great occasion. Here is the link of the route. Suggestions for stops other than gas are welcomed. All day ride! Over 12 hours of sunlight that day. So plenty of time to make the trip including stops for resting. Any questions, just ask. Here is the route for those of you in the area. Starting point is the Shell station off Bush/41/198. Kickstands up @ 8:30 am.

The route currently drawn up has us going no farther than 120 miles between areas with gas stations. If you have a smaller tank and can't make that distance, please let me know what you can get, mileage wise, and I will plot stops to accommodate. Factoring in 30 minute stops for gas/rest in Los Banos, half way down to Morro Bay from Monterey, and when we get to Morro Bay, we should be back to the starting point around 7:30 pm. This is including an estimated 1 hour for lunch in Monterey on top of stopping for gas.

As time gets closer, if the number of bikes exceeds 12, we'll start talking about tail gunners. This is gonna be a long, fun ride. Please bring water if you need a drink between stops. For my fairer skinned friends, please think about wearing sun block. Dehydration and burned skin is just too much to deal with. Our asses will already be getting a pretty good workout.
