My name is Christy Anderson. With the help of my two daughters, Shayla and Hayley, we are planning a benefit to support The Melanoma Research Foundation. One of the reasons we chose to support melanoma is because it is a cancer that does not receive much attention and popularity, as other cancers, like breast. The other reason for this benefit choice is the most dearest to our hearts. Shayla and Hayley's dad died in February 2014 from stage 4 Melanoma. He was a hero to my daughters, now 14 and 11.
Our benefit is called 'Get Naked and Ride for Melanoma'. #Get Naked is the 2014 theme for the Melanoma Research Foundation. This benefit will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015. (May is the month for Melanoma). Our main event is a motorcycle ride. We will have 50/50 drawings, silent auction of themed baskets, and a raffle for his and her Panama Jack bicycles.
Our ride begins and ends at Ro's bar in greenfield, IN. registration begins at 9:00 a.m. Kickstands up @10;30a.m. single rider=$15 and 2nd rider=$10. Riders get goody bags. at end of ride there will be a band playing. supper provided for all riders. All proceeds will go to The Melanoma Research Foundation.
