Rightio as most of you know i had a bloody huge crash last year and got messed up plenty.Since then Ive been workin part time as a part of my rehab spannering at a bike shop.Well now I gotta find a real way to make a few bucks.I was thinking about importing old moto cross bikes over here and cleaning them up to sell to the ever growing VMX mob..what id like to know from you mob over there in THE STATES is how common are old pre 90's dirt bikes and how bloody cheap are they? I aint gotta shitload of cash but i  can prolly pay to fill a container and ship it across here..So gimme the low own on your old dirt bike situation over there please..CHEERS BOOF

Yeah like the Moose said. Craig's list and ebay in the area you will be in. I have a friend who makes a good living buying and selling dirt bikes and quads. Let me ask him about it. Gimme a day to get an answer.

I use a local company here to pick up used parts, Cycle Salvage in Hayward Ca. They have a pretty robust business doing the same, with assorted bikes. Not sure if they could give you any tips yet I do know that a lot of used bikes are bought n refurbished using a wreckers license to access/ & bid on the bikes while still in holding /storage yards after being totalled by the insurance carriers. They also purchase older bikes that are being dumped by owners who no longer have any interest in owning them.If you could network with some salvage yards here,it could be a way to get up & running with minimal invetsment given the interest over in your neck of the woods.
