It's a gorgious Florida day, and I should be out riding. The weather doesn't get much better than this. But here I sit. I sorta lost my enthusiasm today, when I found out that yet another of my high school alumni had passed recently. The man in question, would be kickin' me in the butt and sayin' "move your ass", I don't wan't nobody pinin' over me. But that's just it. I'm not pining, I'm remembering.  Remembering all sorts of good times. Like the time we pierced each others ears. Or the time a party we had (long story) got us both academic probation in college. Stuff like that. And his laugh, well, he had one of them laughs that would get a whole roomfull of people's attention. I didn't know he passed until a few hours ago, and it just felt like, the only right thing to do, before anything else, was to just remember him. So I am.

All you can do is remember the fun times and no that your buddy is watching from above while your out and about on your bike. Btw this year will be 30 years since High School for me and this post got me thinking about friends that are no longer riding with us. Have you noticed the farther you get away from High School the fonder the memories get of good times that you had with your High School buddies. Thoughts and prayers go out to your friend and all of 1976 class

Thanks Wheels, and yes I've been doing so much thinking about those days lately, that I've been on the computer all weekend trying to track people down. After yesterday, I feel like I need to touch base with a lot of folks. I also tried to mend a couple of fences. Life is just too short to let something insignificant, ruin relationships. I've got alot in my life to be grateful for, and one of them, is the friends that I've made. Ride Free

Thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers. It seems like the longer we live, the more we have to lose. And while I'm grateful for every blessing, it does hurt to lose those friendships which come to mean so very much.
But as long as I still have the opportunity to make new friends, like here, on cyclefish, there will be so much more to look forward to. Ya'll rock! Ride Free

    My condolences and prayers.
I've lost three close friends since October.
Just yesterday while working on my project bike I was getting my clutch pieces together and thought about calling Roger to ask a question, that hit me hard, I can't call Roger anymore.

God bless you Tweek and the family involved. I do some of my best reminiscing and missing while riding.... I am totally convinced that those who have left this earth can still see us. Especially miss Dad, so much so that when I do something stupid (me?? never...); I look up and tell Dad to stop laughing at me - cause I know he is! So what I'm trying to say is ... keep riding, remembering, and never let go of the good times...... You're in my prayers!
