Don't confuse hunting w/ marksmanship.
Hunting is a head game w/ physical elements - Speaking only for myself, aside from when resting & petting the dog am never relaxed while hunting
Marksmanship is the ultimate in zen, done properly the self almost disappears & you become acutely aware of your heartbeats. At the conclusion of a match it seems you were a spectator not a participant
Savage I agree with you 100%.........Hunting is very physical, and your physical body shape depends on your ability to hike miles with maybe a 25 pound pack on your back with a 6-10 pound gun, and then come's the head game part. Looking for tracks, droppings, rub marks on trees, wind direction, ability to walk over dry leaves quietly........etc. Just don't forget when you succeed in finding your game, you had better be a good marksman as well.
You correct it all has to come together.
