I put in a tank of Non Ethanol gas for the first time. Oh my Gosh what an improvement. No did not testing. But acceleration, idle, basic running is totally different. After opening up my air filter cover I noticed way less poppin on deceleration. Now I have none at all.
Have not run the entire tank yet but the immediate increase in performance is excellent.....

Oh yeah... non ethanol gas will make any air cooled engine run like a beast!

That is why PREMIUM is recomended. Higher octane. I burn nothing but.
