It's Shrimp Fest time again folks with weekend though not a biker event is attendent by all walks of life. It is to celebrate the shrimping industry here at Fernandina Beach. There will be adult and child pirate costumes, the best beard contests, shrimp dishes, art shows, Pirate invation, music and a shrimp parade. Its a good day and one reakson to visit the isle of eight flags................and our rich history of the US. have a great one! "T"

For this little island its a big deal. Fernandina gets the credit for creating commercial fishing for shrimp. Yep the first to use motorized boats to shrimp and a designers of the nets in use today.
