DeKalb is 64 miles west of Chicago and 60 miles west of O’Hare Airport; Milwaukee and the Motor Company’s Juneau Avenue HQ are 122 miles to the northeast. Before setting out in any particular direction, a rider may want to sample some of what’s DeKalb has to offer, such as the Ellwood House Museum, Whiskey Acres Distilling Co., the Egyptian Theater, and if you’re a fan, the Star Wars Arcade. Downtown DeKalb with its shops, eateries and “drinkeries” maintains the character of a college town (U of Northern Illinois).
