Bikers Are Gearing Up For Christmas Toy Runs
Bikers are giving people and during the Christmas season they ban together all across the world to help children and those in need have a wonderful Christmas. A decade or so ago the general opinion of motorcyclists or bikers by the public was less than popular, and in fact most of these people with negative feels towards bikers are totally unaware that the spirit of giving during the holiday season is just as important to bikers as the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is.
This sediment of giving is one of the core attributes that make bikers pretty special people. With the predominate number of bikers in general coming from working class backgrounds, they too know what hard times feel like, and that is why they gather to make sure the children in their area have a happy and wonderful Christmas. Being involved in local toy runs give you a special feeling. I don’t know about you, but when I think about all of the kids in our country who might not even get something for Christmas or may even go hungry it hurts me inside and that is why I step up and give!
If you are interested in getting involved in a toy run in your area all you have to do is Google “Toy Runs” for your city or state and you will get all the information you need, or better yet ask a friend and I am sure they will be involved in a toy run or two. Christmas is all about the spirit of giving and love and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the Christmas season than helping the children in need in my town.
Last year a few friends and myself grouped up and rode to the local Wal-Mart to pick up toys for the runs we were planning to attend, when I got to the toy section I was blown away at all of the new toys available. I was actually kinda bummed too because it made me wish they had all of those cool toys when I was a kid.
No matter how you plan to spend your Christmas, I urge you to step up and get involved in at least one toy run this year, because every little bit counts and if you don’t you may not make it on to Santa “Good” list, and hey no one wants to get a lump of coal in their Christmas stocking.
